Dr. Rita Woidislawsky has been providing therapy for people with eating disorders for over 20 years. She treats both male and female patients aged 13 and older. Dr. Rita often includes the entire family in a patient’s eating disorder treatment process.
Dr. Rita treats patients with Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia and Binge Eating Disorder. Each type of eating disorder condition is briefly described below.
ANOREXIA NERVOSA:
- self starvation and dramatic weight loss
- extreme exercising (for some patients)
- intense fear of weight gain
- severe distorted body image
- obsessive rules and rigid thinking
BULIMIA: a secretive cycle of eating large amount of foods (usually when one is alone), and purging food from the body by either vomiting, abusing laxatives, or over exercising
BINGE EATING DISORDER (B.E.D.): overeating and feeling distress afterwards
Clients will meet directly with Dr Rita in a private counseling session.
